Eglin AFB, FL

JASOC includes two trips: one to Eglin AFB in Florida, and one to DC. Last week, Jenny went to Florida and here's what she saw:

A1E sued by Bernie Fisher to rescue someone in Vietnam. Fisher earned the Medal of Honor for that.



Used in Vietnam.  Jackson saved fighters under a lot of gun fire and won the Medal of Honor.  He said: "Under fire, I felt back in training and I was brought up to what's right.  Otherwise, it's sin."




In 69, Levitow saved crew from fire tha went off inside the plane in Vietnam.




 A group is paying homage to special ops memorial.



Nose of seaspray has radar capacity and can fly low in support.

  1. What a beautiful view from the base! Quite a hardship post! :) It's quite fascinating seeing all the planes; I hope they don't have to memorize them, though. And the motto was quite inspiring!
